TIPS: When installing Linux for the first time, READ all appropriate installation tips below first! Also, be sure to have your PC connected to a WIRED RJ45 internet connection and you choose the "mirror" or "Install updates" options during the installation. This sometimes eliminates WI-FI driver configuration issues and updates your Linux distro to the most current release during the install process. When installing Linux along side Windows as a dual boot configuration, first do an image backup of Windows (see my tips on doing image backups in my PC Troubleshooting page).
