Want to learn about Linux?  It is no longer just for hackers and nerds. There are increasing career opportunities for Linux professionals. Many employers expect candidates for entry level IT jobs to have a basic knowledge of Linux and OSX.

Another big reason for learning and using Linux is that you can run "Lightweight" Linux on older PC's that still run great but may not have enough memory and/or processing power to run Windows 10/11.  In my Linux Overview & Resources page there is a great article on using lightweight Linux on older PCs.

Experimenting with Linux using Virtualbox


Virtualbox is a Hypervisor--an application that allows you to run other operating systems like Linux on your PC without disturbing your native OS. It is a free "open source" tool available from Oracle.
